I would suggest that you tread very very very carefully with Yemeni guys as it is socially common to take multiple wives in different countries especially when they know the social circles won't mix (and find out about it). I'm Yemeni who comes from Kenya and it happens a lot - they get one in yemen and one in Kenya and of course they lie about it. Your only way to find out is to investigate but it will be hard to get a non-biased person from his social circle because such people could lie about him.
