Put things into perspective - you're planning to marry a guy that ABUSES and CONTROLS you! Please don't take this the wrong way but honey are you a masochist?
I guarantee you this will get worse. The whole having male friends thing is subjective and they're not really essential as a woman but... he won't allow you to see your own mother, who's he?! Not even fathers have that much authority! He is isolating you so that he can set you up for more abuse.
A lot of women tolerating this kind of behaviour probably wouldn't accept it from John Bob living in a trailer.
