Reading too much between the linesReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Evian (United Kingdom), Nov 6, 2016 at 21:36 For all those who read my post - thank you and for those who replied to it I would just like to say thank you for taking time to reply. However the sole purpose of my post was to provide my insight into some of the problems that can be experienced in such relationships - again MY POINT OF VIEW. I did not share any details of my relationship other than the fact that it was not what I was looking for/something I want to commit to. I just want to be clear I am not a perfect human being and I am not better than the Egyptian man I met either. I am sure if he had the chance to come on here and explain the problems of having a relationship with a British Pakistani he could list a few problems too. No one person is better than the other in a relationship - sometimes it just doesn't work out. But the problems I shared were issues I faced in my own experience that were deal breakers for me that I thought would be relatable for other western women going through similar experiences. I want to be honest - I made my own mistakes too. I can't blame him for everything which is what this forum seems to be doing. It's just important to be wary of these issues before falling blindly in love with a man who is from a completely different place than you. I know that if I met this Egyptian man in my life and we had a real life situation to deal with I would marry him without hesitation. The strange circumstances make it difficult to have a healthy relationship and to actually be a normal functioning couple. How can you mould together when you are housands of miles away and never hang out? How will you understand each other or know about each other's culture if your only contact is through your phone? These guys can learn to be like you as you can learn to be like them. It's just taking that opportunity and being around each other and each other's environment. People mix and work amazingly together. It's just having the time and patience to deal with external issues you wouldn't have to deal with in a regular relationship. sometimes it is actually worth it. P.S. Jessie, I didn't share my ethnicity for you to bash Pakistani people. Or to make your judgement about the differences between Pakistani and Egyptian culture. It's strange and disturbing that you focused solely on the points that you did- completely irrelevant to why I mentioned my ethnicity or my relationship. The fact that you live in the western world (Canada) and haven't come across multiculturalism is a little bit strange. I have friends and family from different culture/races and do not have any problem with interacting/loving them at all. People mix. People mix and they get on great. The barriers are put up by yourself. Submitting....
