Egyptian Man in Australia

It is not just Egyptian men in Egypt. I met one in Australia who is an 'atheist' but has all the hallmarks of the double standards, sexism, violence, jealousy and control. He beat me up in the end for talking to someone. He beat up his cousin for talking to me. He was the most jealous, controlling, manipulative man I have ever met but Oh, was he romantic in between all of those times. The words of love were unbelievable and he spoiled me and coddled me. He was very wealthy and we had wonderful time together.

That was when he wasn't verbally abusing me, ignoring me or flirting with other women right in front of me. It was a nightmare relationship that ended in violence. He only wants white women and also claims he is athiest, so it isn't religion that makes Egyptian men controlling and abusive - it is the culture they are immersed in from birth that teaches them they are superior to women. He also drank and took drugs - as did all his middle eastern family and friends - all the male ones that is - I never even met the mens spouses. They were always at home while their men partied.
