Hello Jessie.

Yes that kind of sums it up, although I was never married to my ex, he was just someone I was with for four years. I do remember Straight Talk Luigi and it didn't matter what I said, it was always countered with something negative. So I just simply decided to stop coming here and let time show how my own marriage would unfold.

There are some people on here that don't care how long you've been married, they still assert that you are being used, or scammed or "things will change once this or that happens" But - I know many same faith marriages that CHANGE and end in divorce. If my husband and I were to divorce it would be because of something like that. I don't want to speak that into existence, but it's true that the divorce rate is very high. I think the key to having a good marriage is to become best friends with your spouse. Mohamed is my absolute best friend.

Yes, inter-faith marriages are different, but this blog was originally titled "ADVICE AGAINST NON-MUSLIM WOMEN MARRYING MUSLIM MEN" it wasn't about LOVE SCAMS, or the BEZNESS of love rats. That's why I came here, and that's why I felt it was important to share my story of being married to a Muslim while not being a Muslim myself.

There are many people here who feel that just because someone is a Muslim man that it can't be true, and can't work out. They seem to think that Muslim must be the extreme, the ones who pray five times a day, or will demand you convert, or who will use you for a green card. BUT – there are Muslim men out there who are raised Muslim, and consider themselves Muslim and actually fall into NONE of those stereotypes.

I can honestly say my husband is the first man I've ever truly felt a safe, honest and content love with. I've dated a lot of great guys, but I've never been as in love as I am now, and that grows each day with him.

I read your stories, and I did see some warning signs. In the end only two people really know what they have together. Just because you come on this website doesn't mean you are doubting your relationship. Some people find it by accident and are shocked and intrigued by the hard line judgment of the very title of the blog!

I do think that there is a lot of great advice on here, but some people like Straight Talk Luigi while giving some good advice seem to believe that there is no marriage with a Muslim man that could ever work out and that's just ridiculous.
