Knowing Muslim/Asian Couples & Validating Your Relationship Using Other People

First of all, Mandy's comments about me are way off. I'm not the one on here angrily and hastily defending men, perhaps even as they cheat on me at the same time.

The fact that Mandy is getting married does not mean she has a real relationship. Scams like this can go on for years and they are not limited to Muslim men. I have been scammed before by an American woman myself and all the behaviors that you describe on here Jessie are exactly the same. And don't think for a single second that being Asian or thinking that you look young for your age (which no one is disputing) means you're any different. A woman from every race imaginable has been scammed and posted on here.

At the end of the day, Jessie, it's your hide that's on the line, not mine. And you're not going to convince me that you are at peace and okay with this arrangement because you clearly are not. I very much doubt that you trust him, Jessie, and you shouldn't either.

Second, the fact that you can't believe you could be scammed on-line goes to show the generation gap with the internet and social media and your own vulnerabilities and naivety. Saying you can't believe a scam on-line is no different than saying you couldn't be scammed by mail fraud or over the phone.

Third, Having friends who are in relationships with Muslims (strictly speaking, dating is forbidden in Islam) does not mean your relationship is valid. And how many of those relationships involve Facebook-only relationships with no real meetings where there is a 20 year age gap?

Fourth, the fact that you are not involved in his immigration process at all suggests to me that he is talking to at least one other woman behind your back and you are just being used for cam sex.

Fifth, the fact that he sent you money does not validate the relationship. Either party sending large sums of money is a call for concern. Had he come to me first, I would have told him it's possible you were the scammer, Jessie.

Sixth, I find it ironic that you are complaining about broad generalizations then make them against white women and reinforce them among Scottish men.

Seventh, you market yourself as this strong woman, yet you are being used for cam sex. At this point I have to ask if he is the only man you are "seeing" because I would wager that you are not the only woman he is talking to, especially if you have nothing to do with his immigration process, Jessie.

You keep saying you are too smart to be scammed, but really, what do you think the end of this relationship will be for you? Where's the happy ending? Clearly, Jessie, your increasing frustration and presence on here (not uncommon for man-defense behavior) speaks plainly. You're not enjoying this at all, and I'm beginning to wonder if you spend more thinking about me and this site versus your partner.
