Salaam,

I know this may sound crazy but this gentleman (I use that term loosely here) may very well have been the culprit of having taken his own money from ur purse in the first place. That way when it went missing, he got to look like a bigger man by refusing to take money from you to right the situation. (And of course, all alng, he pockets his money, nothing ventured, something gained-in this case, probably your trust in him was slightly elevated seeing as he would not allow u to pay him back his lost funds) Idk just a theory,

Bc he was fine and dandy with it until u withdrew ur support on his immigration process and that sends up all kinds of flags to me. Esp seeing how he's acting soo immaturely and uncouth-no decent guy would react that way, even if u had totally screwed him, Bc it would come back to reflect poorly on his character (and as u probably know full well, in more traditional and Islamic culture regardless of where u are from, respect is a very big thing and isn't disregarded, whereas ppl in the west may not care at all what others think of them, such is NOT typically the case with people who grew up or are from "back home".) esp since u are Muslim he should be concerned with what the consequences for disrespecting and verbally abusing you will be, with your mahram (brothers father, cousins etc).

He shouldn't assume that he can push this back onto u with blackmail, as he is going to bear some responsibility even if he were to do as he is threatening and release these photos which I do not believe he will truly do) do not let him intimidate or terrorize you with his threats, maintain your cool and stop responding to his communice but keep all of his voicemails/texts/the like for evidence just in case. I may be wrong but i asked my brother in law who is a police detective and my husband who is an attorney and was given some info; if he is returned to Egypt, local USA police dept. cannot do anything to him as far as serve him or charge him with anything Bc he is outside their jurisdiction. Unless he would come onto us ground and continue, in which case they can absolutely take action and u would want to file a report.

You may be able to file a report just for the sake of documenting the situation regardless (you'd want to ask your local police or sheriffs dept. regarding this). Do not pay him any money-he won't stop there-and do not allow his threats to lower your esteem or feel guilty. Surely Allah has forgiven your transgressions and u have sincerely repented; forget this man and focus on yourself and I believe you will be blessed with a godly Muslim man with good intentions as you have a great faith and character it sounds like.
