I think that is pretty typical both his behavior and your thinking-when dealing with an emotonaklly abusive scenario; I left my American husband with the help of my family after a similar situation. I am currently married to a wonderful Egyptian man that my family gave their approval for; although I'm not going to lie to u-Egyptians are known, even amongst themselves, to be notorious con artists. I was engaged at age 17, to a different Egyptian-this one, not so nice. Luckily I called it off. But I've been thru the whole abusive/recovery/healing stage and I def know this culture well. I am Syrian/Palestinian, and it's known in both my parents countries that Egyptian men (desperate for a cheap dowry and a "sexy, uninhibited wife-as by Arab standards, we would be so) come to Palestine and Syria trying to finagle a deal with the parents of many a displaced refugee.

However there are great ones-just don't bank on it. This man deserves not a moment of ur day Gina and allowing him to affect u is only giving him more incentive to do it!! Plz dnt waste any time ending it, moving on, and helping urself; the sooner u do it, the sooner u will be ready when mr. Right comes, and he will come, just be patient
