I just broke up with my Palestinian Muslim boyfriend after 6 months. at first he was extremely charming and always told me how he came from an old fashioned home and had morals and values and would treat me like a queen always. huh. I should've seen behind that mask, little did I know this would be my first abusive relationship...

it was an extreme roller coaster; the high was really high, the low really low, and it was so draining. he never apologized the entire relationship, everytime we fought he threatened to leave and convinced me that if I didn't have him, I had nothing. I was so afraid of him so I tried to let him slide all the time so he wouldn't leave. his manipulation made me so small.

he gaslighted me all the time and told me I needed to change for him, told me I needed to lose weight on my arms... am so glad I got out of it before it was too late.

my advice to you is leave!!! it's not worth living a toxic life with that motherf****, you will end up drained if you don't leave him. I've been through the same thing you have. it's so hard to leave an abusive relationship and no one deserves it, I know it's extremely hard. wish u the best dear x
