It may be best to move on from this, as you are probably not going to change him. The country you live in is quite a male-centered one anyways.
The issue with trying to change someone is that it rarely works out, and if you got married right now it would not make things better.
The only practical solution is if he's willing to work with on that through counseling. This would need to be pretty sincere...
