Muslim guys (men) can have control over you

I've been researching a lot of stories on the Internet about relationships between non Muslim western women and Muslim men from abroad. Many say the woman has a low self esteem, rejected by men in her country, had abusive parents. This can be true in some cases.

This is not true with me. I think of myself as a well educated lovely woman who came from a loving religious family. I was engaged to an American guy. I was not happy with him and right after our engagement ended I met the Arab Muslim guy on Facebook. I'm not perfect I allowed him to poison my mind and believe what he told me . Now I can see it was lies. They brainwash you if you let them. Arab Muslim guys must have control over their woman. I'm glad I woke up before I was in too deep. Everything was a lie. I didn't agree with what is called "the typical description " of women who get involved with Arab Muslim men.
