Advice to Mary; Muslim Man, Going to Police

Hi Mary:

Make sure you save any communication he sends you, and if he is threatening you, maybe you can get a restraining order, but you need to start keeping track of this WITHOUT engaging him.

I have no doubt he called you names. That's one of the reactions liars and scammers or just rude men in general have. The idea is to vent and a lot of times to overpower you so you'll change your mind and stay.

DO NOT fall for it, Mary!

Also, Mary, I'm not sure how someone can force you to marry someone you don't want to in the UK. I realize a lot of people get in pretty deep with this nonsense, but convincing someone to marry him/her short of putting a gun to his/her head or some other kind of blackmail isn't illegal per se.

Ultimately, the folks on here (and the vast majority are women) need to step up, see the situation for what it is and make good judgments.
