Don't call yourself stupid. You obviously loved him very much and you must have truly believed he loved you in the same way. I'm sorry for what happen. Being married for 18 years and then he decides on a second wife ? Unbelievable!!! There's good and bad everywhere but I have to say that these men take complete advantage of the fact they can have more than one wife if they can provide for all wives. They dream of having more than one woman to be married to. I think a lot of men do . Muslim or not.

This is not your fault and you're not stupid. We're not perfect and this is not a perfect world. I told someone else on here to come here and talk about your pain as much as you need to. We're here to help. Hang in there and there will be a better day! I know it's even more difficult when you have children.
