I wish I never knew this life. I wish I was still innocent and naive to the most simplest form of love which does actually exist. It's letting yourself believe that someone who has no self respect can ever respect you. Their values and beliefs, not to say their meaning of life is completely different to ours. I am a British Muslim girl and I have fallen mistakenly for an Egyptian Muslim guy. I thought that he could respect and love me because I too am Muslim just like him. Being western makes you naive to the twisted ways of some of these people. But simple British/European values are lost among them and they would never be able to begin to understand you. I have some common ground with them.

I am born into a Muslim family and my parents are from a Muslim country yet I still am utterly shocked at how this Egyptian guy thinks he can treat me but still claims he loves me
