It's the same everywhere

Hypocrites are everywhere, I know people that commit all kind of sin during the week and line up on Sunday at church to confess their sin and get forgiveness.

You should probably have an open talk with him, and see how he react. You also should lay the rules, cheating is a line that he should never cross. Other stuff like prayer or pornography its his personal business.
