Confused and need answers

This is their mentality. Majority are controlling. Their mother does want them to marry a very young Muslim girl. Preferably a virgin. They will promise you the moon and stars but never produce squat to you. They think they don't do any wrong and everything that ever happens between you will always be your fault. All may not be this way but majority are. If I were you I would give him his walking papers because most likely you are wasting your time. I've been there and done that I know how it goes. They will lie to you and think it's fine.

You deserve better. Find an American man , your chances of real love are much much higher than with the Algerian. Good luck to you and come here as much as you need. We'll be happy to help you in any way!!!
