Luhx:

I am disappointed. You originally came on to this site to "honestly answer questions" and gave the impression of having a decent attitude.

Since then, you've blown off Sherry and weren't very nice to me.

A few things need to be clarified here:

1) Please don't assume, Luhx Marghany, that just because your marriage has red flags that means that I don't think a Muslim/non-Muslim relationship cannot work out.

2) Meeting someone in Vegas on vacation is a red flag no matter where he/she is from or what the religion he/she practices is.

3) Simply put, dating is forbidden in Islam, Luhx. The fact that some Muslim men do it isn't a revelation. Lots of Muslim men have sex before marriage and they aren't allowed to that. It gets mentioned on here to show women that the Muslim men are going essentially going against their faith when they date.

4) It would be a catastrophic mistake, Luhx, to insinuate that this is a game, and I take it quite seriously. Most of the situations on here are bad from the beginning, and the fact that some folks would need to turn to anonymous strangers on-line speaks volumes.

5) I was not asking you to question the magnitude of your feelings, Luhx. You were asked, Luhx Marghany, to determine whether or not your relationship was real from the start, which would be more a question about his feelings/motives, not so much yours----even if there's a lot of dislike that you have for Anglo-Saxon men.

6) I am concerned about the "several" persons you claim to have added from this site. Would you be able to tell them the truth even if it would cast a bad light on at least one Muslim man?

7) I'm not playing any games here---dangerous or otherwise. I'm not the one who is marrying men I meet on the internet or on vacation and insisting that people support said relationship with a Muslim man. I have very little skin in this.

8) I wasn't attempting to formally diagnose you. A person doesn't have to be a licensed psychologist to discern a proper relationship. People make calls like that all the time.

9) You can question my concern all you like, Luhx Marghany. Such questioning will not further the value of your marriage. But my concern, Luhx, there, regardless, Luhx. And that's quite a paragraph of explanation about why you wrote, but in the end, you still wrote. I always find these man-defense posts--- shall I say interesting----because some of them are very lengthy. Perhaps I should feel flattered that women such as yourself take so much time away from such a great relationship to write long essays in response to me.
