Luigi can you look at my case and tell me what you think....Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by SS (United States), Dec 5, 2015 at 16:15 For 4 years we could not prove the marriage to be fortified, therefore he was not allowed in the country until 2012. He arrived at my house on April 10, 2012 and without my knowledge he left my house on July 23, 2012. He lied about knowing people here. Of course his true colors showed now that he was in the country and after he received his green card. He stayed with me almost 3 months, left and called me later telling me to have a nice life. So I hired a lawyer to get the marriage annulled. At the time the Lawyer told me he could get me an annulment. We had a hard time serving the papers on my husband even after he gave me two addresses where he supposed to live. He would not accept the paper per Fed X. All of a sudden a year later my husband started calling me again being nice. He must have found out his need to make peace with me because I had been sending letters to immigration right after he left. He started offering to pay money he promised to re-pay me after he come to the country only if I change the annulment to a divorce. This money is not for alimony, it's part of the money he owe me for the legal advice I had to pay to get him here, my plane tickets and expense to go to his country, speeding tickets and bills he said he had to pay off in his country before he come here and things I bought for his kids. He promised to return this money to me after he comes to the U.S. but instead he run off. He hired an immigration lawyer to handle his divorce, which is strange. I know it's to help him keep his green card and he is trying to get visas for his kids and family now to come to the state. He is offering to pay me my money only if I change the annulment over to a divorce. My Lawyer is now telling me it's going to be hard to get the annulment without more proof. What I want to know is have anyone on this site gone through an annulment, and if so, under what grounds? Isn't it against the lawyer for him to bribe me for a divorce or in my case, to change the annulment over to a divorce? Could this a case for ICE? Any advice is more than welcome, thank you.
