Thankyou :-)Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Thankyou (United Kingdom), Nov 20, 2015 at 06:47 Thanks so more for your response. While in Morocco during a discussion with me and his friends. He completely admitted he used her to obtain a visa. Did not seem to have any problems with doing that neither did his friends. And they said that desperate people will do anything. His best friend told me that my guy hada very hard life and childhood but didn't explain why. My boyfriend is an athlete (yes I've looked him up on YouTube ha ha) and from what I can see he has done very well for himself in that area running in british marathons and other parts of Europe. He met her while here on a student visa doing his masters and married her before it ran out. Very sad for her. I do not know the woman and I should not judge her, but I fully believe that if she had done some research she should have known that his family would not ever accept anyone who posts photos of themselves with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and her breasts hanging out on social media and also the fact that she is an atheist. But then again, I do not know what he said to her. I don't judge him for sex before marriage as I was brought up as a cathoilc and it's not something I should be doing either, but I am a grown woman. He recently booked us four days in Amsterdam and I entered the details of our addresses, passport numbers etc.... And yes, he does have a british passport. This is not my issue anymore, it is this. He owns a home in Morocco and wants us to bring our children up there........ Something I am not willing to do. He wants us to get married in Morocco and wants to make things halal. He wants to meet my parents and my mother is not happy with the relationship. I really care for this guy and after doing my own research (checking out his passport, visa, finances) I do not believe he wants me for anything. He wants to settle down and start a family. I do not want my children when i have them to be brought up as muslim, I have all the respect in the world for islam but would feel that I would be betraying my family and I want my kids to experience things like Christmas, easter and making their communinion like I have. Also, I have started to notice changes in him such as not wanting me to wear makeup, not wanting me to smoke, telling me off for being into my looks (getting my nails done etc) texting me to make sure I'm in bed and home. Our relationship started off as physical attraction and a bit of fun for me if I'm honest . And now he is like my best friend. He comes over, puts on my pjs and we sit for hours talking about islam/Christianity and everything else. I believe he sees a differnce in me as I don't go out partying, and I look after him and I love my family very much (he didn't believe that western woman do this) he believed that we all went out drinking and taking drugs. I have no future with him due to the fact that our differences are too great and I am not willing to compromise at all. My friend who married a muslim has spoken to me about a marriage contract but I'm not going down that road. I'll enjoy his company and we will need to sit down in great length and discuss everything, but deep down i know me and what I want in my future. I'm 27, hes 30 we both want to settle down and start a family but I am all too aware of the changes that occur after marriage, I have started to see them already x Submitting....
