Zeyad - Us women in the west are totally different to the women in the east. My Turkish husband cheated me for a visa and his whole family were involved in the SCAM. I will never get over the deceit and betrayal of what happened but it will not ruin my life. However I find it very difficult to deal with the fact that women were involved in the scam when surely they must know how I am feeling and the hurt it has caused - not that they care. Are they so hard? We are a different breed, our love is not money (most of us anyway) and when we enter a relationship most of us look at it as more of a level footing - we are open and honest, do not expect our husbands to keep us, we share, we do not demand a dowry, gold and all the other things expected in the east.

Not all muslim men or men from Egypt, Turkey etc are the same but I have to say after my experience it has tainted my perception of people in that part of the world especially when both male and female members must have been in on the plan / scam. I can understand why you may not want to get involved with your own kind for various reasons because after my experience I would not want to either - what is the answer? It is not where people are from, their religion, it is the behaviour of individuals who give their nationality a bad name. There are good and bad people from all nations. I thank God I am not like these people - people who use innocent victims to better their own lives at the expense of destroying ours (for a period of time) and they hide behind Islam pretending to be religious people which is absolutely laughable / disgusting and a disgrace. They destroy the type of person we are if we allow it but thankfully at the end of the day we know we are better. I would never hurt anyone as my ex husband hurt me, I would never use anyone to better my life and at least I can go forward knowing I did nothing wrong but was just used a tool to reach the ultimate goal of bettering his / their life. It is shameful really.

Forgiveness is the highest achievement - we free ourselves by forgiving so we can move on with our lives. Islam allows them to lie because we are non believers and not worthy of being treated with any respect.
