I had previously posted because I met a Muslim man from Egypt who was a banker. This website made me have so many doubts, especially when he would disappear. However, it turns out that everything he told me was true. His job, his family and everything in between. We spent nine months communicating. Him trying to get me to come there, me not wanting to. In December, he finally did come here, he resigned from his job, brought some of his savings, stayed in a hotel until we were married. He took me personally to pick out my ring, and even provided me the certificates for my diamonds. I also went through the formality of getting married at a Mosque even though I'm not Muslim.

I can say this - I have never been treated with more love, respect, kindness and understanding. I am not an easy person to live with, I have a very dominant personality, and I wear the pants in the relationship. His mother and father have accepted me, although his sisters have not.

There are many posts on here about how things change after marriage, and everyone seems to be so negative. I can tell you from experience that there are great Muslim men out there, that you can marry them if you aren't Muslim, that the families will accept you sometimes, and maybe it doesn't happen often but you can find love in a way you never thought.

Of course, be reasonable. If they are asking for money, or keeping you a secret with no intentions of telling their family - You already KNOW the answer in your heart.

BUT don't ever just assume because someone is from the middle east or Muslim they won't make a good husband. My husband has treated me better than any American man I've ever dated.

This is a happy ending.
