question on egyptian mother son relationship

Im looking for advice. I leave for Egypt in 2 days to meet my "fiance" I met him through a mutual friend. his best friend married my friend. my friend and her husband live here in the states and i visit with them frequently. I met my "fiance" through her husband. he friended me on fb and after 2 years of being casual fb acquantances we became more intimately involved. we skype or in some way video message every day -- and talk on the phone. i feel secure in the relationship but am curious about the mother son egyptian relationship. he recently confided in me that he still sleeps with his mom.

I knew he lived with his family as is common in egypt but i was not aware of the sleeping arrangements. they have 2 big beds and one sall bed. the small bed is for his older brother and the one big bed is for his dad and he and his mom share the other big bead. he also confided he enjoys cuddling with his mom in bed at night and enjoys her "rubbing" his head like when he was a boy. i am trying not to be to americanish judgemental - but need to know what i am getting into with this lol.... please e-mail me any insight ...
