Regarding Black women & men from the MEReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Msnick (United States), Feb 8, 2015 at 17:37 I know this a very old thread but I don't like that this stereotype is here for women to look at and believ if they have never been to Turkey or ME. First of all, many people say...I have been to Turkey...lived in Turkey, but leave no details. I've hit every vacation spot in Turkey, except Antalya. I lived in ADANA Turkey for a year & a half. This area has a Kurdish population. I don't know how larger/what percentage. Regardless...this area of Turkey was very friendly towards black women, black people in general. There is a waterpark in Adana & we, a large group of blacks, whites from differnt countries were treated well & were asked for a lot of pictures. In Kizkalese (2 hours from Adana), I also experienced no issues, we travelled there often. Some of our guys had homes out there. I only lived in that area, is the rest of Turkey different? I am truly shocked to read people saying Turks aren't attracted to black women. Next you all will say Germans don't date black men or black women! Yep, I've had a charmed life & lived in Germany for 4 years and have probably spent 6 years of life ther...2 months here, 6 months there. As to the topic at hand...having lived in Turkey & Qatar...I would not advise western women to get involved with these guys. I Don't understand how they do? These guys approach us western women (of all colors) all wrong. I've gotten the hyper sexual introduction, the much too smooth & instantly in love approach and my favorite, the Ill be your friend and help u navigate Turkey approach. It was awesome when a "friend" of my American boyfriend took me to see a house he was interested in and demanded a blow job (in my car!) before driving me back. Yeah...I got out of the car & started making phone calls...he started apologizing (I misunderstood of course) My dealings with Turks is that you always owe them something. They want to get something out of you, they are constantly hustling. Are there good Turks who did none of those to me?...of course I met them too! Even still, I saw a guy conned by his Turkish "wife"...they never consummated the marriage & all told she took $20K in the "divorce". He was a geek & he sounded like many of the women here before he married this woman. "Western women just don't have values I'm in tune with." "western women don't bother to get to know the real me." "her father had to accept me before we even started dating...they love me, cook for me, accept me...blah, blah, blah" We tried to warn him. Strangely an American woman went through hell to gain his trust & love, rebuild his confidence, etc. In the end the world tends to have a wierd view of black Americans. MTV & VH1 give them the wrong idea about who we are. Turks/Kurds to thier credit are curious and smart enough to figure out who we are for themselves. The average ME realizes the world tells lies about who they really are, too. As far as black women not being attracted to Arabs? Uhm...yeah...I wouldn't agree with that. As I said above their approach has often been the turn off. Has anyone seen a 6'2 Qatari male? Yummy :-)...the strict culture keeps me cool & uninterested around them. I will admit we shunned a younger lady who worked with us for getting involved with a Malaysian server in Qatar. I will only say, we aren't servers and I don't understand why some one making a good living would date a guy who hits on EVERYONE he sees & is looking for a meal ticket. Long story short she got pregnant, canned & he admitted to being married...as most of them are. I'll simply end my novel by saying if these corny words, come ons, & controlling behavior came from someone in your own country, most of you ladies would not accept it! If u don't dont servers & taxi drivers back home...why date one 3000 miles away!
