not always a scam

I'm going to marry an Iraqi man. I'm a revert to Islam so I've been looking to marry another Muslim. The only thing that seems like it could be a scam to me would be that he does not want to pay the costs of the things. If he was true about it, he would not mind paying for every expense.

Don't forget to see your amount of gold or money for him to marry you. It sounds like you would be a good digger by doing this, but in the religion thats how they go about it. The money and or gold are to be saved, not spent, in case later on in your marriage you face money problems you can sell the gold or have the money to get by. Not all Muslims are bad, just do some research :)
