I may surprise you but this does not imply that the man did not have feelings for you. It just says he was a control freak.

We Algerians are complicated. I am not a practicing Muslim, but am at least honest about it upfront and does not mean I have no values :)

I do however understand you, as the mental abuse and control is bad news for any future. We all learn from the bad experiences, that's life.
