is he lying or being scammed

This guy I knew met a woman on an online matrimonial site. He lives in USA. He claim they got close fast the usual that happens anyway he said she told him her parents are dead,she's inheriting 5 million dollars left by her father, she's 29 and supposedly accepted his marriage proposal(he's Muslim) . right away he wanted to tell his family but she told him to keep it quiet for the time being (7 months ago) and allowed only to tell his mom. So he was calling this woman his wife saying he's married. How when they've never met,he only has pictures and she doesn't want him telling anyone. He once let it slip that shes being unreasonable i assume asking for too much. He didnt go further.

He also claims the woman emails his mom(sounds like she trying to come off legit.)A month or so ago I heard he's now on Facebook flirting with scantily clad women and mostly foreign Asian girls. If he was married would he be doing that? His profile still said single up until a month ago now it says "its complicated".

The kicker here is now I think he's saying he's in a relationship with someone from overseas. The reason its fishy is because in person he never gets attention,yet online these beautiful women are talking to him . they are overseas and he's never met them. This guy is poor on disability, 31years old,unemployed and on parole.

Everyone else spots the red flags about his " relationships" but he thinks because they are friendly nice accepting of him and his life that they are wife worthy. He can't support himself let alone a wife,what are they up to?
