I would really like to meet up with you because I have the same situation that recently happened to me and we are both Moroccans international students. I supported him as much as I could emotionally and tried to find ways for him to climb up the lather but he wanted it easy and now he chose an overweight girl with apparently low self esteem since she introduced him to her family the first weekend they went out. And he told me the exact same thing like you.

But am trying to over come this fairy tale that I lived with him for over a year.
