To IsisReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Praying for Egypt (United States), May 10, 2014 at 21:22 When we first started chatting, he told me he was Egyptian, so I took his word for it. Later on, I found his Facebook account and that is what it said: Current City: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Hometown: Al Jaddah. I'm sure I'm wrong about his intentions sometimes. Like for instance... When I told him I would be able to provide money for us to make a living on, he got mad at me and said he was able to support his family and me as well. He sent me his phone number which is from Egypt, so I'm really confused. You are right though, I will never know until I get to know him in person. He offered to help pay for my expenses if I ever visit him in Egypt this year. I cave in and go back to talking to him after apologizing for the things I say to him. I'm really confused! He's really kind hearted, patient, and very forgiving. I would never dream of hurting him at all, but my mood swings and my emotional state just get in the way at times. I'm going through a divorce and I really need his support at times because I really do love him a lot. (And no, my divorce isn't because of him, it's been seething for 10 years and finally getting the courage to get out of the marriage.) I see all these red flags but he also said he would never try to come to America if I'm so suspicious of him. I can go to him in Egypt and that is where we would live. I'd be able to come back to America to be with my family anytime I want then return to him in Egypt if I want to be with him. He only wants my happiness and said he would never try to do anything that would make me sad. This is what he told me last week. The stuff about the money happened after I found out I'd be able to get some money out of the divorce back in March. I want to give him a chance but I've blown it so many times because I'm left all week with my imaginations after reading all these horror stories. He works a lot, trying to save up for my trip to Egypt. I want to trust him. I get to talk with him once a week if I hadn't screwed up by saying mean things to him. Most of the time, I think he's genuine after getting over the garbage we went through and seeing the things he's willing to put up with me and the things I've put up with him, maybe...it's just meant to be. Never know, huh? I know it's such a hot mess. He wants to create our own story. I just hope it doesn't get too messy. He says it isn't shame for not wanting me to meet his mother. He will let me meet his brother and son. His mother is just too traditional, so I don't know. I need to find out for sure by visiting him. Call me crazy. If I never find out in person, I will have this emptiness lodged in my heart for a very long time. Submitting....
