Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

Funny you say that, this man seems like a rather bad Muslim. Firstly, Muslims are encouraged to have children. Also he asks for an abortion? Absolutely forbidden in Islam. If he beat you and verbally abused you unfairly, then you have every right in accordance to Islamic law to withhold from him. Search up "complaint of a muslimah". That guy is a total idiot.
But I agree, unless you are a woman willing to live a conservative lifestyle, marrying a Muslim man is not for you. This guy had serous flaws, with you and his belief. He was totally in the wrong. This is why Muslim men are encouraged to marry Muslim women, so there is no serious divide between families and children.
