If your partner has temper tantrums, especially ones with verbal and/or violent and sexual abuse, it's high time to leave.

You need to ask yourself if you would put up with this from someone of your own age, country and culture.

Men who act like this do not change quite so easily, and let me assure you this does not often go away without serious intervention. I seriously doubt he will change just because you aren't giving him the reaction he wants.

It could be any number of things---the culture, how he was raised, or even a mental/social problem exasperating itself.

But you don't have to take any kind of abuse.

As far as the technique goes, yeah, they'll use it to get what they want to get you to back down. It's one of the more childish dating (even scammaing) tricks, but they wouldn't use it if didn't work.

I am particularly concerned since you are in Turkey.

This is really a bad sign and you don't need it.
