Marriage to your Algerian lover - some advice from Britain

Don't do it, darling, just don't. There is too great a risk that you will be abused. Bear in mind that if he gets you back to Algeria, you could also be stranded there and maltreated over there, especially if he takes your passport away. Don't assume it will be easy for your embassy to help you over there and the police and the courts will certainly take his side. As for what happens if you have kids with him, well don't even go there: bear in mind that on divorce in an Islamic country, the husband gets automatic custody of the kids.

Finally, remember the old saying: if looks to good to be true, it probably isn't.
