UK citizen wanting to marry a Moroccan citizen. Advice! HELP!Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Zahra Houzzigue (United Kingdom), Jun 19, 2013 at 07:44 Hi I don't know if you could help me or offer some advice. I am new to this site. And i know this has nothing to do with what you posted. After reading comments on why not to go to Morocco it has disturbed me a little as i had to think twice about my relationship with my moroccan partner. . Well here's my story, i will try to keep it short. I am a British citizen and a pakistani Muslim girl, I met a moroccan Arab muslim guy on my holiday in Morocco Marrakech about six months ago. I did not pay much attention at the time as we hardly spoke as he was a decent guy and did not want to approach me about how he feels as it was not right at the time because I did not even know him. But we did have the normal conversations like what do you do etc. Once I left we exchanged email addresses to keep in touch as everyone at the hotel where I stopped were very nice and wanted to stay in contact. He was one of them. Once I got back to England i received an email asking if I had got back safely. So I replied and we got to know each other from there. We exchanged numbers after a few weeks as talking through viber or whatsapp messenger is easier than always going through emails. He told me he loves me and want to marry me. I did not want to break his heart as from what I saw in him i gathered he's a decent guy so i continued as i did like him but not love him yet. So I also agree that all moroccans are not the same. It's now been about six months in to the relationship and we both love each other very much and would like to get married. I asked him if he would like to come to England to get married and settle down here but he said no its difficult and also that he would prefer for me to come live with him in Morocco as he can do much more there than here. So that showed me he is not with me just because of a visa here which made me me feel more attached. I have decided to leave England and live in Morocco with him forever if God wills. Even if it means not working there i am happy for him to work instead. As he is so great and just wants me to live a happy life whilst he does it all for me. His immediate family are aware of our relationship too and are happy for him. I wish to go to Morocco after completing my degree after a year. But the problem is how do I marry him. Does anyone know of how it all works? I'm a student at university, would I have to work to show I'm employed before marrying in Morocco, I have read on sites the maximum stay in Morocco for a tourist is three months, if i was to go on a tourist visa again and I decide to marry is it possible, or if not how does the visa process work, I really want to go to Morocco leaving all behind to live with him. Could anyone please tell me of how the process works as i have read alot on the Internet but it's sooo long and makes no sense to me as I have never imagined to have wanted to live elsewhere. If anyone knows anything or has been through this before could you please advise me on what to do as it would be very much appreciated. Thank you Submitting....
