Not sure this is a fair generalisation of all Egyptian Men.
Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

I don't think that's fair to brand all egyptian men...I found this site my trying to learn about the culture of egyptian men as I am developing a close relationship with one and I am a non-muslim. however I found the very biased as in collectively branding all egyptian men as the same. That being send your ordeal sounded dreadful and I do hope you are now happy. God Bless. x
