If you are not a Muslim, why would you ever marry a Muslim man?

I met my Algerian husband in London, he really pursued me and we fell in love. He was illegal and after 13 years I am done: I can map his changing behaviour from the minute he received his British Residency.

He deceived me, never put his hand in his own pocket to pay for anything over the years and ferreted all money back to Algeria. I don't think they have any respect for western wives - they are here for the money and a means to an end.

His family will deceive you, of course - their men are sent to earn money to look after them. They will be all over you like a bad rash when they stand to gain from it. I really believe that marrying into this culture is something one should contemplate with extreme caution.

Also remember, and I say this from experience: An illegal immigrant will do anything to get legal and earn money. Their very serious religious morals are nowhere to be found. I know quite a few through my husband and it is only because I do not want to alert the authorities that I do not recall their tales here.
