Yes, there is stereotyping on Muslims on this board but most of the experiences here relate to women being scammed either on the internet or in tourist areas with the promises of love and marriage.

Many western women don't seem to be able to to see through the scammers that they fall fall for on the internet and other places and unfortunately many of these scammers come from Muslim countries. The women, when they are robbed financially and emotionally then set on a path of blaming Muslims for their problems without putting some of the blame on themselves for being naive and guileless.

A major percentage of contributors on this board have never travelled to Muslim/Middle Eastern countries either so the threat of the unknown and uneducated clouds their judgment.. On a recent post I answered the comments of an Indian man who condemned Muslims and I advised him to look in his own back yard before he felt the need to set the world straight on Islam and my response attracted "dislikes". Once again ignorance exposes itself!

All in all, there seems to be no hope in educating these women because they see Islam as the enemy because of their own ignorance.
