Non-Muslim women definitely should NOT marry Muslim men

I had the very experience Michael is talking about when I married an Iranian and have encountered many other women who've since had the same sort of experience. An Australia friend of mine had an even worse experience marrying an allegedly "westernized modern" Palestinian in Australia and had to go into hiding to escape him when he turned out to be very a violently fundamentalist Hamas member, oppressive and abusive to the nth degree. She was terrorized, confined, wrapped in black cloth from head to foot, and every bone in her body broken in a variety of his many assaults on her. You can say that this behavior by the Muslim husbands of free born Western women is not "backward," but it is definitely incompatible and abusive and a very long step downward for the dignity and well being of any free born women. On average, only women born in the captivity of Dar Islam can possibly appreciate them as they are and even then I have my doubts. My very mildest criticism of them possible is that they do not good/egalitarian husbands make.
