Thank you Isis! It's been a while :-)

Regarding insecurity, it's just something that I've noticed amongst a lot of Berber men - some of them need validation in some form. They tend to be quite shy and calm unless provoked. One of my theories was that years of colonialism and mistreatment are partly to blame, but, like yourself I can't stand all the generalisations and painting with one brush on here.

Also some women actually enjoy being in these types of relationships, as long as they're being treated with respect and aren't being abused.
