I have every right to make a judgment call on this. I was asked to put myself on the line by a shady character, and I'm warning other people. (Who's doing the judging here?) I'm happy (for you) to say that doesn't sound like you're talking about the same man. It would have been obvious to you after the first week that his interest in you was nowhere near as sincere his desire to get out of Morocco, to either the U.K., Australia, Canada, or the U.S. (He had a list.) He could only keep up a front for so long. I wouldn't get 'involved' with him, but was still friendly and kept in touch with him and his family online for quite awhile after I returned to the US, at which point, he really started pressuring me, and the only thing he would talk about was the visa, the visa, the visa. Nevermind the fact that I was unemployed at the time and couldn't possibly afford $400 for a visa application... his only concern was bettering his own life for himself at some woman's expense, by pretending to be in love with her.
