Are all Muslim men the same?

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men
in response to reader comment: Non-religious and muslim

Dear Dr Pipes,

your reader JL who is dating a Muslim says that her boyfriend is not bothered that she is not very religious. Why should he be? It would have been a bigger problem for him if were to be a devout follower of her religion. By being irreligious she is making her boy friend's life easier.

JL further asks that just like not all Christian and Jewish or atheist men are not same, so are not all Muslim men. Here JL needs some education. While not all Muslim men are not the same, a huge percent of them become the same when it comes to 1) opposing Israel under all circumstances, 2) asking their spouses to convert to Islam, 3) completely ruling out the option of converting to any other religion from Islam, 4) raising their children as Muslims etc. etc. If JL has no objections to these issues, then there will be no issues for her.
