Iraqi man (comment from Peter)

Hi Peter,

Thank you again for your input and honesty. I just wanted to say that he has dated other woman, not many, and I did ask him why it was so difficult to find a woman in Iraq. he said that he can find many women in Iraq and could even go out and find 5 at one time, but he said that he did not want to be with a woman that did not have true love. He said that these women were looking for men and wanted to be taken care of...he said he had gone out to cafe with woman and would sit and talk for a couple of hours and he could tell that there was not a connection so he did not want to waste his time again. The woman that he was with for 4 months hurt him bad because he did say he thought he loved her and gave her his love and she ended up going back with another guy she had dated before him. He realized that she did not love him and did not want to waste his time with her. After he met me, she did try to get him back but he was not interested. His story does sound so good that one might think it is fake, but I have talked to this man for over 2 years now and have never caught him in a lie or inconsistent with anything he has said. I have even tried to trip him up...but his answers are always the same. He has this belief that if you don't lie about anything you can never be caught in a story. he said he is an honest man and takes great pride in that. IDK, maybe I am wearing rose colored glasses, but he really is sweet and seems so genuine.

He has never asked me for anythiIng, not money, or visa....just to keep him like he keeps me and forever how long it takes, he will be waiting. He believes I am his soulmate...said he can tell many things of a person's heart and he thinks I have a great heart and hoped and prayed all his life to find woman like me. Just repeating it sounds cliche but from talking to him he is very simple person from an oppressed area. he lost friends in the war and knows of families that also had tragic loses. maybe he just sees things differently. IDK. Thanks for your comments, I welcome more. Just trying to figure it all out in my own mind.
