No offense to to you ladies out there, but honestly do you really need to give it a second thought with men like this? Claire I think you already know your answer but are hoping someone will tell you he will change or it will get better..ect...Well,ITS NOT GOING TO! Leave and never look back.

I'm married to a muslim man from a different country and when I started talking with him and going to see him I didnt change anything about myself, including my expectations from a man. I don't believe or accept excuses, lies or abusive behavior or the idea to obey or that men are superior to women and this was made clear from the time things turned serious with us. He accepted me for who I am and his family did too. We have been together for 31/2 years and happily married for 2. And I never hesitated to ask to question him about anything, including his opinions, religion & he was more than welcome to ask me anyhing as well, hes always been respectful and his family is always welcoming. But I was extra cautious when beginning this relationship. And with any relationship I believe either with a local man or abroad you should hold the same standards, respect & trust need to be there and if theres doubt, question it! SERIOUSLY!
