Hi Cindy,
Unfortunately I would have to say that doesn't sound good. Anytime my, now husband, would have had the opportunity to meet with me , even if I was upset with him, would have jumped at the first chance. And If he loves you so much like he says he does, as soon as he would have known he was coming to the USA, you should have been the first person that he thought of and contacted. And obviously you know he lied, so I think you have your answer already so sorry to say :(
