from what I read in this room, it seems there is a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding in any mixt marriage, I'am a moroocan women and believe it or no almost all what people think in his experience the islam is wrong because they ignorant, don't judge people based on their religion, but look first of all to the personality, to the social life, the education, the financial situation and only the last one will give you an idea at least why he needs so bad the visa or to marry you- ???

About your comments with all respects, morrocan men are not like that, they are nice in general, but it s the way they were raised that make them feel shy to express themselves and talk about love or sex even with their partners and I confirm this is not in general, some are so audacious that they will talk in everything without being shy or humiliated, my X husband was very bad with me I was with him only one year and I couldn't live more with him. being trehned, abused, humiliated, almost everything more than that he lied to me hiding his other kids before he marry me. just lies and lies. you know what I did I made decision and I stopped this marriage so I can move on otherwise he will drive me crazy. so make sure of what you want really, and ask to have a clear conversation and make things clear either he respects you the way you want and behave well or you make your decision but don't regret after ten years and say just oh it s their religion no mom thats not from the religion, while you are talking about religion how come you complain about not bringing a gifts in christmas since he is a muslim, muslims we don't celebrate christmas. I think you need to learn more about differences between both religion and both of you. Good luck to you
