Becca, from your description it is clear that you are suspicious and have a gut feeling that there is something wrong with this picture. Your lack of experience does not prevent you from seeing the truth and being concerned about it.

I recommend that you read through some of the posts on this forum who describe identical scenarios as yours and understand what it is you are really dealing with.
