Sorry to hear your story but this is a common scam. I assume that you either met the Egyptian man in Hurghada or Luxor where this behaviour is rife. This man will turn out to be a Gigolo and a lazy creep who makes his living out of preying on foreign women. If this man is from Luxor there would be a 9/10 chance that he would be from a village on the West Bank called Aweemia. They often approach women on the last days of their holiday in Egypt so that they can leave a lasting impression that you will mull over when you return home and then the net is cast and bit by bit they reel you in. The fact that you were left alone so long when you revisited him should have sent the warning bells ringing but I agree that they are so cunning and slick with their scamming you wouldn't have realised you were being conned until it was too late.
