These may be typical traits of a muslim man but I don't believ they're exclusive to muslims.

Dear Yasemin, I read your comments with great interest. In response, I would just say; that although the behaviour you describe may indeed be typical of some muslim men, I do not believe said behaviour to be exclusively "muslim." I say this simply because I myelf, as a white British wife, married to the same white British man for thirty eight years; have lived with his verbal and emotional abuse and have felt my sanity so undermined that I have been unable to leave him. It has taken me a long time to realise that this abuse has extended far beyond emotional and physical and is in fact downright insidious. I have been so isolated that it has taken me years to finally confide in a friend who, to my astonishment, actually believed me; whereupon I broke down and asked her how come she believed me so emphatically _just on account of my word. She replied, that in her many years as a nurse, she had seen numerous women who, like me, suspected their husband of drugging them but what particularly convinced her, was my testimony that I had often found sharp objects ie, a chicken thigh bone, a small piece of a "take away" foil carton ( obviously cut from a larger piece of the container ) and numerous other foreign objects in my drinks. She told me that in her line of work she had discovered that introducing such sharp objects into their wives food/drinks, is fairly typical behaviour of an abusive spouse; the object being to cause harm to the wife they hate. I was gob smacked to hear this as I thought I was going crazy. As for the drugging, in my case, I suspect it has been for different reasons than your own but it is nevertheless typical behaviour of abusive spouse regardless of their race or creed. I am currently taking advice on how to stay safe and disengage from this long standing abusive behaviour.
