I agree with you on most points Luigi but your response doesn't explain why you consistently ask posters who don't have a tragic story to tell "why they found this site?" This question has no bearing at all on why people post here. There are many reasons why people feel compelled to put their story on this site. Women who have not been through tragic circumstances with a Muslim man can offer very good advice in an effort to prevent others from finding pitfalls. It doesn't mean that a woman who can contribute positive relationship advice to others who are considering marrying or having a relationship with a Muslim man should be excluded from explaining her situation without going through the third degree.

As you are aware, I am married to a Muslim Egyptian and I have not converted as I have decided that Islam is not for me. My husband respects my decision but I have also learned much about Islam and the role of women in Islam which I feel can be valuable to others in similar situations. I see both positive and negative points for women in Islam but for a Christian woman raised in a Western world there are far more negatives than positives. As I spend half the year in Egypt. I also see first hand how some Egyptian men scam foreign women. It happens right in front of us every day in Egypt when we are shopping, dining at restaurants, with our tour groups in hotel lobbies or visiting ancient sites. If women who are able to experience Islam on a daily basis and have a reasonable understanding of Muslim men then they should be afforded the opportunity to offer their educated advice to women with naive and gullible tendencies.

They're some of my reasons for being on this site.
