No need for background check

What strikes me as suspicious is the timelines alone. So wait, his wife died last September, you lived together for a while, married 3 months ago, and it's only... August?! His Jordanian wife died in a car crash... like... doing 90 on a freeway? Quite unlikely in that part of the world. No sign of grief on his end, not a slight intention to be with his minor children in those difficult times... He could have gone back to Jordan even on the expired passport. Airlines would work with him on a ticket price if he informed them about the tragedy he (apparently) experienced. This story alone does not hold water at all. If you're in the US, he has most likely overstayed his visa as well.

Mac, you already had him move out. Keep it that way. Do not pay for his housing, so his other wife can shop for villas in Jordan. Looks like he left his country to make money for himself and his. Let him do that with his own two hands.
