Not really Jessica. Even if they are citizens, most times their culture will be so different to western culture they will still treat you badly. my friend married someone already here and her husband put her last in everything. Was never faithful and sent all his money to his family. After 8 years she divorced him and said never again!! The few who work out is there, but so small in number. I've witnessed over 3 dozen such marriages where the husband was here. Only ONE of those are still happily married. I'm overjoyed for them, as they said it was very difficult but they stuck it out.
