To Luhx and others, should I reconsider?

Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men

So I have spoken about my Turkish ex on here before and I wanted to update and get your opinion.

So I broke up with him right before Christmas due to a heated argument in which he verbally abused me. Now keep in mind he has never hit me. Also I have called him names when I was mad at him to which I am working on myself. During the next week after we broke up he was out late with work friends for a few night and I was sure he was with a girl but couldn't prove it and he denies it. When i asked how to move on from someone I loved so much a lot of you said to cut contact. Now this is difficult as we have a college class together that I can't drop.

I've made it clear that we are just friends and no physical affection. He has been extremely respectful and has been doing everything he can to show that he is working on himself. He agrees that he's not the man I deserve right now and he even joined a men's group at his church. says he has given his life to Jesus. Wakes up early everyday to bring me coffee to class. He drives 40 min everyday out of his way to bring me home cooked meals to work. Buys me anything I even dare to say I want or need. I still have the key to his place so I can come whenever.

He's always treated me like a queen but he just has jealousy issues. And I don't blame him cuz guys in class are always talking to me (I'm not trying to sound vain or anything ) I know I have a lot I want to do and work on mentally and spiritually before I get into another relationship, but when I am ready does he sound like someone who is worth giving another shot?

Also note that he was born in the US, comes from a wealthy family and has a good paying job working with special needs kids, and I have met all his family
